Intermediate to Advanced Workshops

Elvin Acting has a beautiful home in Kingswood's Creative Youth Network's light, bright and big studio.

Every Tuesday evening we meet at 6:30pm for an hour and a half group workshop on a pre-discussed discipline. The aim of these classes is to bring together a group of performers with established Acting experience, investigate new skills and rediscover old ones.

This is an ongoing training and would be suitable for anyone with a working knowledge of theatre and a desire to keep their vocal, physical and mental acting capabilities expanding. There is a lower age limit for this class of 16.

Here we will be looking at Laban in its pure physical form. Disconnecting it from text and allowing the body to explore each state of tension.

Tue 1st March Workshop - Relationship exercise

The relationship exercise bears resemblance to the song exercise in format but as the name suggests, it removes you from yourself being the focus and looks at developing character relationships based on an immediate previous circumstance.

Tue 8th March Workshop - Character Development

This workshop is for experienced actors with a knowledge of actioning, laban, and are willing to play. Here we will be utilising all that we have studied in previous workshops to own our own character.

Tue 15th March Workshop - Duologues
