Faye Elvin is the founder of Elvin Acting which is born from a belief that professional quality performing arts tuition should be available to all.

"When I moved back from London, I found it tough to find classes for professional actors and performers to keep their skills alive. I feel that performers carry a level of responsibility whether in work or not to keep their skills and training going throughout their careers.  With this in mind, I decided toprovide the facility I craved to ensure that, whatever your level of experience, you can always progress. London is filled with opportunity, so now it's time to bring some here."

    - Faye Elvin

As a youngster Faye began her stage career at the age of two and a half primarily studying dance at The Dorothy Colborn School of Dance in Bath. At the age of 11 she began exploring acting and musical theatre by joining local groups, including the multi award winning Zenith Youth Theatre Company. Alongside this Faye took LAMDA examinations and at the age of thirteen gained a place with National Youth Theatre.

At the age of eighteen Faye gained a place as a Genesis Scholar at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), During her time here Faye gained her Advanced Stage combat certificate attaining Gold standard and represented LAMDA at the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Awards.

On graduating Faye attained one of only three First Class Honours degrees to be presented that year in Professional Acting and went onto make her professional debut at The Globe Theatre in Neuss, Germany playing Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, a role she also played at London's Globe Theatre with the Sam Wanamaker festival.

A short time after her graduation Faye was asked back to LAMDA to join the teaching faculty as a freelance movement specialist. Whilst teaching at LAMDA Faye undertook a Historical Dance apprenticeship with the much revered Diana Scrivener.  Faye enjoyed this time immensely and had the honor of working on the Audition Panel at Preliminary and Re-call stages giving her a wonderful insight into the world of drama school auditions and what can make or break it for students wishing to train at the highest level.
